The Burning Heart and the Void Blade
During the aftermath of the The Tear , a group known as Templars were collecting magic items and objects displaced from other planes of existence and using their powers to fuel their own magic. It was among these templars a high-priest found a seemingly unimpressive stone that gave off a comforting warmth.
This stone set into the events that lead to the reign of the ignited lord, a destructive empire that destroyed almost as much as the Tear. It's unknown if the Priest that found the stone became the Lord or if another found its true potential, regardless, this stone came to be known as the burning heart, an object from the fire plane with heat and power of it deepest flames.
The Templars tried to fight the spread of the Flames of the Ignited Lord they sought more and more powerful magic items to destroy the Burning Heart, but with this came the horrifying realization, the heart feasts on magic. To the Templars, the Orinach order , and the Nothrinach order, this revelation spelt defeat, soon, the Ornioc are said to have joined the Ignited lord, rather face them in war, the Nothrinoc vanished, either in retreat or destruction at the hand of the Lord and his Orinoc, but the Templars continued on their war against the Ignited Lord.
For nearly 1500 years the Ignighted lord continued their reign, little of Vesax's ancient world that survived the Tear would last after the Ignited Lords conquest. This would not be the End however, for deep beneath the surface of Vesax the Templars sought new weapons and they found them...
Far beneath the surface, deeper even than the Underdark, the templars found a cavern moulded by the tear. This cavern was carried a chilled air that seemed to drain the warmth not only from the templars bodies but from their very souls as well. Centred deep within this chamber the templars found a black blade.
This blade had no crossguard, and no pommel with only black greased rags for the wielder to hold, this oily and disturbing blade sucked all warmth, happiness, pleasure and eventually life from anyone who carried it. Under normal circumstances, the Templar would destroy such a dangerous object but it was unique in a way they needed, this Sword had no magic, but more than a lack of magic, this sword was a magical Void. All magical items, weapons, or any creature that came into contact with this blade would be destroyed in an instant. Soon, with this blade in hand, the Templars set forth on one last Crusade to destroy the Burning heart with the Void Blade.
The final battle of the Templars was devastating, whipping nearly all the templars out, with the exception of a single Templar Captain. This final Templar took up the Void blade and battled the Ignighted Lord in a dual, where the Templar struck a mortal blow on the Lord and the Burning Heart. Upon these two objects striking one another, the items reacted to the magnitude of the colossal amount of magic in the Heart being released, then consumed by the Blade, and caused a massive explosion that was so devastating it set off several nearby volcanoes that would bury the remnants of the Ignighted lords' palace beneath the ground in magma and rock.
It's now said that the explosion also resulted in the loss of both the Heart and Blade. The blade was shattered into sixteen shards, spread across Vesax. The Heart fell with the Throne of the Ignited Lords throne deep beneath the stone and Magma, though it is believed the heart was not destroyed, but rather it was made dormant, lost somewhere in the caverns beneath Othrin, slowly feeding on what magic it can find until another picks up the Heart.
