Land of flowers and really big pillars
Snakewater is an interesting chunk of land. Well I mean it's mostly water, but there's land around. here and there. It's whatever, you know?
On one of the few bits of dirt and grass in Snakewater, there stands an ancient monument. Think Stonehenge, but with more rocks and colour.
The Land of flowers and really big pillars (or if you're a smartypants "Round Table of the first men"), consists of giant stone pillars that are seemingly arranged and placed in a circular pattern, with a stone basin slap bang in the middle.
Looks a little boring when it's laid out like that but you get the gist.
Anything interesting?
I mean, if you're talking practically no. It's a pile of rocks. But the place itself is pretty damn interesting. I mean, these huge ass rocks were put here by someone like, billions of years ago. Okay maybe not that long, but like a really long time. It's also the most intact collection of ancient texts that we have going, almost all of the stones have carvings on them with drawings, texts and such. The... old language people? Is there a name for that? ... Apparently it's philologist. I'm using Old language people instead. ANYWAY, they've been putting bits and pieces of these texts together for a while. It was quite interesting at first. At least until they figured out parts of it. Funny, right? Even old people are gross. Well I guess they wouldn't have been old when they wrote it. Just seems weird. What even were these things used for? With crap like that you'd think it was a bathroom stall or something. ... OH MY GOD IT'S A BATHROOM STALLI simply do not understand. These lands are so pure, and fertile! Why on earth would they have left such crude texts? What was this place used for?
Geography
The land is surrounded by water- I mean it's an island, why am I even telling you this that's obvious.
The land itself is fairly flat. Bit bumpy here and there. You could safely roll around without falling off a cliff or something. It's got a cracking view of the underside of the Great beast's Noggin.
Fauna & Flora
There aren't any animals on the island, except probably a few bugs, some bees- that kinda thing. But BOY this place is covered in flowers. It is easily one of the most colourful spots of natural land in the entire world, only dwarfed by those really annoying people that vomit bright paint all over their house.
I'd love to know more about "those really annoying people that vomit bright paint all over their house," they sound like a fun bunch.
You know what? This sounds way better than my original idea for a house/dwelling prompt so I will take you up on that.
I look forward to reading it!
