Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Though able to assume any form as a tulpa (or mind sprite), Umbra takes the form of a 'dark flame elemental'. His head is composed of a steady grey flame with expressive, off-color eyes. The rest of his body assumes a humanoid appearance wearing a grey suit. His slender body includes longer and lither-than-normal limbs, giving an unearthly thin physique.
Special abilities
Being on the level of transcendent beings, Umbra is gifted with reality-warping abilities. However, these powers are self-limited and he hardly exercises the use of them, simply for the reason that it is not necessary.
When particularly agitated, Umbra utilizes his abilities to aggravate his appearance to look more monstrous and imposing.
Like Jim, he possesses a pocket dimension for inventory. His hammerspace is located within the sides of his jacket.

Umbra dresses himself in a well-kept suit with thin, grey pinstripes along his height.
Mental characteristics
Personal history
Umbra, like his sister Mae, existed in the mind of Jim for some time before actually coming into reality. They were little more than impish, minute thoughts flitting around the edges of his mind. It was only during an experiment with a friend of Jim's that Mae was accidentally poured into a physical body and, effectively, given life.
Being the refined aspect of knowledge from Jim, Umbra proves invaluable across a number of situations requiring critical examination, observation, or planning.

History
He was always there, in a way, like Mae. Only after Mae was 'born' did Jim notice Umbra lurking the in the dark corners. He coaxed him out from his hiding spot and convinced him to assume a form for himself, and eventually settled on the name 'Umbra'.
