Every story has it's writer. Jim Vox fills this role for the world of Versalis.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Jim Vox takes the form of a wolfsune, a type of magical creature akin to the more commonly known 'kitsune'. He typically is found sporting a trio of large, fluffy tails from behind him.
He has a lithe and skinny build, not sporting much muscle, and generally appearing casually cute and approachable.
Identifying Characteristics
His arms, from wrists to shoulders, are covered in cyan markings. These marks are dynamic, slowly moving, changing shape and position over time. The markings give off a slight, barely discernible glow.
Special abilities
Being the Writer, Jim holds a special status which grants him total and utter control over the reality of his domain. However, when venturing outside of his world, he can never be sure of just how much of his ability carries though.
One of his common tools to use is a pocket dimension inventory. This hammerspace is located in the space between his trio of tails behind him. To the casual observer, it looks like he is reaching behind him and pulling out an object.
Apparel & Accessories
Typically, Jim can be caught wearing a dark green turtleneck sweater, along with a pair of jeans. Oftentimes, he is wearing glasses with a slight yellow tint to them.
Specialized Equipment
He is proficient in words and word-based magics, runes, and the like. He even has created a personal system of sigil magics for his own usage.

Personal history
From nothing... something.
Jim was born in the utter void. Not the 'Void' where nameless terrors dwell, seeking entry into the material plane. Nor the 'Void' that some would perceive as Hell. He was born to literal Nothingness. It was just a mind, groping in the darkness, seeking something, anything, any kind of stimulation. After countless time passed, the mind of Jim reached out further, and began to develop a kind of body, a vessel to hold itself. In it's loneliness, a spark of life entered his darkness.
Seizing upon the spark, he pressed himself into the force. Assuming form and feeling alive, or some facsimile of life. What he didn't realize at first was these sparks were of his own creation. But over time, his control over them grew greater and stronger. Jim conjured a form for his own being, human in shape. It was around this time that his mind developed even further, organizing and creating the universe known as Versalis. With an organized place to call 'home', Jim was able to reach further, beyond the confines of his own realm, and out into other worlds. Sometimes he brought people back. Some people he grew fond of. No matter, it was only the beginning for him.

She was always there, in a way. But, it was not until Jim accidentally poured her essence into a body that she became real, more than a passing thought.

Strictly speaking, Mae is Jim's tulpa. However, she views her relationship to Jim as "Daughter, sister, friend, and lover."
History
He was always there, in a way, like Mae. Only after Mae was 'born' did Jim notice Umbra lurking the in the dark corners. He coaxed him out from his hiding spot and convinced him to assume a form for himself, and eventually settled on the name 'Umbra'.

Author's Notes
While a 'kitsune' is viewed as a multi-tail, magical fox (typically of Orient mythology), Jim is indeed a so-called 'wolfsune'. Where foxes are viewed as cunning and tricky, a wolfsune makes up for this supposed lack of cunning with greater levels of raw power.
