The Fainting Goat
The Fainting Goat is a favorite spot of folks visiting Dagger Falls looking to rest and relax. Quality food and drink, and decent rates for rooms. Visitors can expect the common room to be crowded most evenings and performances by local entertainers to be enjoyable.
Purpose / Function
One of two inns in Dagger Falls. Services include room and board, meals and drink, and entertainment. The Fainting Goat generally attracts a rougher crowd most nights due to its location within the harbor district compared to other establishments in the town.
Architecture
A two story wood and tudor style building with a stone foundation and small cellar for the storage of ale. The plastered interior is adorned with memorabilia from the 30 years the Fainting Goat has been open. The inn is a square building located on the corner of Dock Ward and Harbor Street and has a wrap around wooden boardwalk. A large wooden door with a massive brace beam is the sole main entrance into the inn, but there are two windows on either side of the door to allow natural light into the establishment. A rear entrance way is located on the opposite side of the building, closer to the corner and allows access to the kitchen for shipments. The second story is built to maximize the number of rooms for guests to the inn. Double and single bed rooms are available, and are sparsely furnished.
