The Cursed Knights
Four poor souls of unknown provenance and terrifying visage. These four individuals are the dark shame of the Brotherhood of Hunters, as these monsters can do what the command deems to grisly or controversial to be made public
Composition
Manpower
This formation only consists of four individuals: Benedict, Roderick, Sebastian and Alexander. Given the unique nature of their members, its unlikely this formation will outilve these four.
Equipment
Given the kind of missions they undertake, they are not given much equipment due to the simple pragmatic notion that they do not need to, as their cursed natures grant them unholy vigor and agility
Weaponry
Most of the Knights use their claws and latent magical curses to dispatch their targets. Of the four, Roderick uses a massive, cast Bone-Steel morningstar that he takes on every hunting expedition
Structure
Alexander is the least insane of the Knights and the only one that can keep their ever-growing bloodlust in check, so the task of field coordination falls on him. This is a light hirearchy, though, as all four of them take on the hunting behavior of a pack of beasts.
Tactics
Whenever the Brotherhood of Hunters has to quietly dispatch a Hunter that has either broken a cardinal rule or is simply too problematic to just exile, they call upon the Cursed Knights. Other branches of the Brotherhood will supply their handlers with the information needed to dispatch their target (especially if their quarry has escaped and is in hiding). This information is then relayed to the Knights (or more accurately, to Alexander so he can goad the others into the right direction) and they are transported as near the target as possible.
After being deployed, the Knights will spread out to cover a wide area around a target, to ensure the target has no escape routes and begin their pursuit.
Both during and after the hunt of their target, the Knights will ensure no there are no witnesses
History
No one knows exactly the origin of the Cursed Knights, as very few know they even exist in the first place.
Naturally theories are plentiful, and many of these orbit around what kind of magic is afflicting the Knights, as it deformed them to such a extent is difficult to ascertain if they were Hellions, Crafted, or another kind of creature entirely, but few wonder who the Knights were, not what.
There are a few scattered documents that seem to confirm that four Hunters by name of Benedict, Roderick, Sebastian and Alexander were real if unremarkable members of the brotherhood, but these documents are very incosistent on the nature of their last activities, with incosistent dates on matters of deployments and known whereabouts. All reports at least point to a single incident that all four Hunters were participants in, but given the redacted nature of the event, any guess as to what ocurred is baseless speculation
Historical loyalties
Regardless of their methods and nature, the Cursed Knights have displayed unwavering loyalty to the Brotherhood of Hunters, being willing to commit all manner of unsavory acts to defend the Brotherhood's interests and reputation.
