The Great Expanse of Cozamaotl

"Drake looked out through the cracked canopy at the jungle ahead of them. There were no breaks in the tree line, no clear space to land. No matter where they went down, it was going to be a mess. He tightened the straps holding him in his seat. All he could do was hold on and hope for the best. The autogyro began to descend rapidly, but Gregory was a master pilot and managed to at least keep them from flipping over. There was a horrible screeching as the treetops scratched at the metal hull, and then a series of snaps and crashes as branches were torn away. They both lurched forward against the restraints as the trees caught the craft, and from there it was just a nightmare of green blurs and the feeling of tumbling out of control." ~B.K. Bass
The Cozamaotl Expanse is believed to have been inhabited by a race of beings that were essentially Jaguar-like Humanoids called the "Ocelotl".

Geography

The Cozamaotl Jungle expands from the Southern Liban Ocean to the Xochipalli Mountains that dominate the Western coast of the Cozamaolt Expanse. It is the largest jungle in the world. It is a fertile land of countless animal and plan species. Due to the thick triple canopy jungle, the Expanse is mostly unexplored.

Fauna & Flora

Wet tropical forests are the most species-rich biome, and tropical forests in South Novia are consistently more species rich than the wet forests in Mazantsi and Azuma. The Cozamaotl Expanse has unparalleled biodiversity. One in Ten species lives in the Cozamaotl Jungle, this constitutes the largest collection of living plants and species.

Natural Resources

The Expanse is a very rich, resourceful area of land. There are huge reserves of bauxite, gold, manganese, nickel, copper, tin, and timber. The land is rich for logging, coffee growing, meat production, and milk production. There are also many plants used for different reasons.
