The First Things

The First Things were the first race on Verden. The eventually had a civil war between two factions, the Light and Dark (for lack of better terms). Dark faction was experimenting with the Shade, attempting to draw power from it. But when the meteors crashed into Verden they were on the verge of extinction. The Darks fled into a portal they created on Point Fear. The Lights were the progenitors of humans and demi-humans. Ulzschanoth was the ruler of the Dark faction and he lead his people into the Shade at the beginning of the Deep Night.
