Ironheart Cooperative
The Ironheart is made up entirely of self-aware automatons. The automatons vaguely resemble humans made of metal. No one for sure knows where they came from or who made them. Over time the WarForged as they called themselves, learned to act for themselves over many centuries. The glowing blue cube that powers each WarForged is indestructible but also nobody knows how to create new ones. If a cube is removed from an WarForged it is killed, but these cubes can be added to new bodies to create new WarForged. This means there is a finite number of WarForged and any cube that is lost to them is considered a tragedy. This is a problem since the nation is under constant attack from hordes of snake-like creatures from the west. The naga love nothing more than to steal away cubes of fallen WarForged. The WarForged have built a massive series of defensive walls to the west to fend off the naga hordes. The WarForged are distrusting of outsiders due to the many trying to study and deconstruct them. Many outsiders are unconvinced that WarForged can be considered sapient beings.
