Rannalla

Rannalla (meaning Silverhold in the old tongue) is the capital city of the region Jaervor, located the river Trosstal and the Silvertop Mountains. One of the older cities in its region, it was able to rise to prominence due to its favorable location, since the mountains on its southwestern side are rich with silver, which is often traded by use of the river.
I currently controlled by The Duke of the Pale, a Northerling that traveled to Jaervor in force with an army of a few thousand tribesmen behind him. He managed to somehow bypass the Imperial forces of Stormkeep and take over the city within a day. The city was then sacked and its officials were killed, instating the Duke and his closest companions as its new rulership.
Since the occupation began, the city has changed much. It is run mostly by the most prominent tribal Leaders, especially the chieftains of the Claws of Uthengar. Slavery is rampant, as many of the citizens have been pressed into forced labor in the silver mines. Apart from death, the most prominent way out of slavery is fighting in the arena. A gladiatorial battleground where mostly slaves and the occasional tribesmen fight for their freedom, or honor. It has become a favorite pastime of the city's new inhabitants.
At the center of the city lies The Talon, the castle from which the ruler of Rannalla historically ruled the city. It is separated from the city by an additional set of walls and towers. It also hosts a barracks and a church dedicated to the Six, which has been destroyed since the sacking.

Defences

Stone walls, surrounding the town and a second layer surrounding the castle. Watchtowers dot the walls every hundred feet. 
The city has 3 main gates to enter the city. One on its south border, one on its west and one on the east.

Silver mines, River fishing, trade.

Infrastructure

The city hosts a large silver mine, with accompanying foundries where the raw material is transformed into ingots and eventually products. Previously, the city exported most of its yield to the Barradin Empire, and was its foremost income of silver. However, since the new management, trade has since stopped. 
Rannalla was, despite its age, built in a surprisingly advanced way. The lion's share of the city has working plumbing and an advanced sewer system, a commodity not commonly seen in this part of the world.
