Anket

Anket is a lesser God in The Torrezon Pantheon. He was charged with the hunting of those who seek to sought to interfere with the dead, such as necromancers, as well as those who chose an unnatural path of undead rather than the promised path that Osirant gifted to his followers.   He was highly revered by the Ank-Tabaxi of The Middle Plains, who view him as their creator and chief diety. He was also said to have worked with Sebakar to create the Ammut, which he considered to be instruments of his divine will.

Personal history

Anket was said to have been, and is still considered to be, the greatest hunter and warrior among the Ank-Tabaxi.   After one supremely successful hunt, he returned to find his tribe had been slaughtered in his absence. After tracking the attackers for five days, he found an encampment of Loxoda. After trying and failing to attack them alone, he silently waited for death and the chance to join his kin. Osirant was said to have come to him in the night, and the two promised an exchange: Ankets' soul for the power to avenge his people. When the sun rose on the next morning, Anket's being swelled with power and he broke free of his bonds and slaughtered the entire encampment. In thanks, he sanctified the deaths of the Loxoda, gifting their souls to Osirant. Osirant, impressed by the display, returned Ankets' soul and brought him to the Gate of the Dead, where he showed him the spirits of his kin, safe and happy on the other side of the gate. Anket swore immediate allegiance to Osirant and took up the charge of protecting the Gate, as well as hunting those who would choose to interfere with Osirants' planned afterlife.
