History
In the past moss would grow on just about everything getting in the way of everyday operations. Individuals would be hired to remove it. Unsure of what to do with it all, the workers started throwing it into shallow water located in less frequented areas. This proved to be a bad idea, the stench from the piles wafted over to more habited areas. Workers were then told to move it elsewhere, complying with demands they returned to the area to find it had turned into a blackened rough fiber. Moving it, they would dry the remains out selling it to be used as cheap stuffing.
