The Lapis Conditori is a large stone obelisk erected upon the founding of an Aeoran polis inscribed with the names of the founders of the polis. Traditionally these were the men (and sometimes women) who settled the land, raised the first temples and inscribed tables of law.
The first Lapis Conditori was inscribed by Nuntius Novarion upon conclusion of the Viamiuduciis, formally marking the end of the exodus and arrival into the promised land of Aeora.
Over time the cultural significance of the Lapis Conditori has changed. Where once having one's name enscribed on the Lapis Conditori was seen as a great honor, now inscription ensures one's entrance into the venerate, the ruling class of an Aeoran polis.
