Adventure on the high seas...

Welcome to the world beyond the flood. The prophesied doom of the old multiverse came and went and in its wake a new cosmology was born. A myriad chaos of endless pieces of the old planar structures shattered and were blended, blasted and splintered together to form Varada, The Shattered Wheel. With the primal elemental forces of Water, led by the dread Leviathan, the ascendant power in these new realms, most of these broken lands became broken islands amid an endless sea of portals, magic and the unknown. Nearly a millennia of a new reckoning of time has passed since the raging storms finally settled in victory and now the seas once again teem with life and adventure. Over the centuries various factions have emerged from the ashes of the old worlds to claim a stake in this new, unexpected existence - refugees from countless dead planes have formed communities and alliances that now bristle against the ambitions of Empires. New foes loom on the horizon for those that would remain neutral whilst old rivalries threaten to grow into larger conflicts. All the while, the Gods make their plans. And yet there is more to be discovered - beyond these endless seas and depths lie other, unexplored landscapes. It is said that the dread Isle of Blood is but an outpost for a vast continent of mist-shrouded pine forests and dark castles atop jagged mountain peaks. Far off in the blasted remains of the old plane of Earth, ragged bands of marauders and warlords manage to scrape an existence out of an endless lifeless desert. It is also said that with enough wit and luck, it might be possible to traverse through these shattered worlds to the ancient halls of Gods - both the new and the old. It is even said that the Silent Shore where the Three Ships await the souls of those that pass on from this existence, is not only accessible to the dead. Stories circulate, like they do, of brave adventurers who have returned from the Pallid Lands at a terrible cost - having made bargains with the Grey Mariner herself.
