High Priest Valdemar Covac (a.k.a. Father Covac)

Father Valdemar Covac, High Priest of The Holy Order of Tighru is an imposing figure, not only in stature, but in the influence of his words and actions. Entering the order at a young age, he rose quickly through its ranks and was able to increase its influence in Vanelle dramatically in just a few years. Deeply admired by his peers for his clarity of vision and action oriented leadership, he has transformed the order from a noteable sect into the official faith of the Protectorate of Vanelle.

Originally from a family of merchants, Father Covac obtained a better education than most in his youth. Aquiring the ability to read at the age of 8, he read voraciously and has continued to do so throughout his life. After joining the Holy Order of Tighru, his studies took on a more esoteric quality. He travelled far to search for historic and metaphysical texts about his faith and its originator. Although he has never publicly revealed his findings, many speculate that it was he who found the Tighrunites' key to treating the rotting illness that struck Vanelle in the year 1400 CE

Many speculate that the goals of Valdemar Covac are entirely selfish, although the Holy Order would deny this. Officially, his goals are tantamount to those of the Tighrunites - that is to say; expand the order, locate The Four Tombs of Tighru and establish holy sites for each.
