Malvolio's Marvellous Mysteries

Known more commonly as "Mal's", this brightly coloured caravan, draped in luxurious fabrics of exotic make and dripping with beads and jewels, is a much-welcomed sight for all peoples of Vandariel. Emblazoned across the side of the painted-purple wood of the caravan is the name Malvolio's Marvellous Mysteries, written in a flowery script and almost seeming to glow faintly in the light of the sun.   When Malvolio rolls into town, everybody knows about it. It starts with the chorus of delight from local children, knowing that the caravans arrival signals a great time to be had, and soon spreads to the adults, who lean nonchalantly out of windows and doors to watch the cart go by, trying to hold in their childlike excitement.   Malvolios is, you see, a one-man circus and magic show that has no rival. Run by the titular Malvolio himself, the show travels the breadth of the world seemingly at random; there is no city too large or hamlet too small for the man to stop at, and he charges no fee other than a warm barn or stable to sleep in and some food and good wine for the night. When asked, he will reply with a twinkle in his eye, "I am not a man for coin, I travel for love of my art and the great outdoors!"   Malvolio is a man of middling age, wearing a smart black suit with an ostentatious purple top hat, carrying a long cane. He could only be described as average in appearance, with most only being able to say that he has a bushy brown handlebar moustache and sparkling, if unnervingly bright, blue eyes.   The "mysteries" are predominantly magic tricks of the sort peddled by any common street magician, however there is a style and beauty to this performance that defies description. Some say Malvolio uses real magic, but he denies this vehemently if asked, claiming that to say such things is an insult to his craft.
