So much, though nothing formally.Mallak is one of the oldest known vampires. Second only to Javon in the Council in terms of age and arguably power, Mallak is far more of a free spirit when it comes to politics. He doesn't care for the nitty gritty details but rather always looks at the larger picture of things. He often foists off any paperwork or administrative responsibilities to one of his underlings while he roams the world, frequently alone. When he isn't causing chaos or entertaining himself elsewhere, Mallak spends considerable time either in Javon's territory or at his own fort deep in the humid forests of Tineve, close to the mountainous border with Emich.
Political / Religious Beliefs
As one of the Council members for the Loyalist vampires, Mallak is one of the main forces behind their rules. Not only enforcing the lowered vampire population, but keeping everyone in line. Though he might be a chaotic individual himself, his bloodline and household are not. He's as collected and documented as any other Loyalist. It'd be hard for another Council member to find fault with him outside of his obnoxious personality.
Mallak was selected by the creator of the vampires, Cain, to be on the Council. He takes his appointment incredibly serious, not just because of who gave it to him, but because of the implication should this Council fail to meet their creator's expectations. Mallak very much enjoys "being alive" and interacting with the world, so he will do whatever it takes to maintain order and balance.
Disposition
Mallak is at the top of the world and often acts it. There are very few things in the world that can touch him, so he has the confidence of a would-be god. He has a tendency to smile, though it isn't the sort of carefree, casual grin that others might find infectious. Rather, Mallak's smiles are frequently sharp things at the expense of others. Like there's a big joke and he's the only one who gets it. Even when he's being particularly cruel, the smile is nearly ever present. Or at least the ghost of a smirk.
For the Master of Illusions, appearances are everything. He always looks perfect. Hair slick back, clothes neat and clean. There is nothing ever out of place or a drop of dirt or blood on him, even after a gruesome fight or feeding. It's a constant illusion maintained and a flex of his narcissism that he can maintain such a perfect image all the time. He also takes private, sadistic amusement in warping the reality of those he's interacting with. He'll remove doors, skew room perspectives to trip people up, or offset furniture so nothing ever feels quite right around him. It's not about it being a petty joke, but about no one ever really being sure of their surroundings, or even him, when Mallak is around.
Appearance
Mallak is always seen in long coats that button down the front - though they're never buttoned - with a white dress undershirt and black tie. He'll switch between dark jeans or slacks though there is always a slim black belt. His dark brown hair is always slicked back and he's never without a pair of black leather gloves. No one alive has ever seen him as anything less than perfect or clean. If there is any blood on him and anyone happens to see it, it's because he wants them to. Though that is an incredibly rare occurrance. He much prefers to be viewed as perfect and untouched, untouchable. There is never any jewelry to detract from him.
Master of Illusions
There are a very tiny, select few in the world that aren't affected by Malla's illusions. Any vampire or shifter that is older than he is would likely be able to see through whatever he tries to do to them. Otherwise, Mallak's illusions look, smell, feel, and sound incredibly real. From the very subtle to the incredibly monstrous, Mallak shifts the reality of those around him to suit his mood or for entertainment. Whether it's casting people in darkness, for a monster to prowl in their periphery, or setting them on the edge of a cliff where the wind threatens to push them off, Mallak enjoys finding whatever terrifies a person the most and subjecting them to it. Drowning. Burning. Lost in the middle of a blistering desert. He has rooms where keeps people trapped in various illusions and larger, empty spaces he considers playrooms. Blank canvases for him to create whatever he might and loose someone in.
