Summary
The Hagar el Zar mountains are thick and impassable. But through them is the vast
Western Plateau and its rumoured hidden treasures. So
many seek a passage from the north. There are only a few passes along its frontier that allow entry -- one of the largest is the Melphrine Pass, which is located to the south-east of the city of Al-zaphrine. It is a dusty and dry stretch at first, but the land rises quickly, and a cold wind begins to bite.
