Tamaedra Delsaran
(a.k.a. Queen of the Wild)
Lady Tamaedra Delsaran quietly rose to power through her unwaivering adherence to the doctrines of the Woodborne of Delsaran, even when it pit her against friends and family. This betrayal may have shunned her in other political circles, but her actions, beliefs, and mannerisms are such that they are predictible. While some of her decisions may come as a surprise to others outside of Delsaran or her inner circles, hindsight always reveals the line of thinking Tamaedra followed to get to her decision.
Juxtaposing her by-the-book political and social mannerisms, Tamaedra is also incredibly maternal to both the forest and its creatures. It is there, in the wilds, that her behavior becomes more emotional and, by extension, somewhat erratic. Her skill in communicating with both plants and animals is unrivaled by even the best druids, despite a lack of training from any druidic circle. The plants and animals of Mistwood are rumored to have served her as spies, providing otherwise unknowable information to the the Matriarch of Delsaran.
Her politcal workings have left little room for imagination in deciphering her intentions with both Delsaran and the Underwood Alliance: protect the forests at any cost. Though she does not reign over Skywood or Faewood, she demands with ferocious grace that their caretakers take the same steps she's taking to protect Mistwood. These choices often come at a cost to the people living in and around them, but Tamaedra believes they have sacrificed enough for Locrati.
Hundreds of thousands - perhaps even millions - of trees were ravaged in the Underwood Wars. Collectively, billions of years of life taken from Vals'kar and the Wilds. We must repay the life debt while protecting our protectors. We must - and we will.
