Zalonian Invasion

The Zalonian Invasion is the most important, yet most forgotten event on Kesic. Beginning with the landing of a few exploration ships in 329 EN and expanding to a full scale invasion by 331 EN, the Zalonian Invasian was an attempt by the Zalonians to expand the reigns of their empire off of the continent of Zalona. As the Zalonians threatened the existence of major northern kingdoms and kingdoms in the middle of the continent, the threat of domination of an external threat brought together the major powers of the continent by 337 EN. Seeing no hope by 340 EN, the powers of the continent turned towards the hope of the Eser Orb, which would isolate the continent from the outside world by allowing no one to live. By isolating supply lines and communications, the Zalonian empire on the continent would quickly diminish and by about 100 years later the remnants of the empire on the continent would consist of a handful of city states and legends.

The Conflict

Prelude

In search of resources to feed the growing numbers on Zalona, the Zalonians began exploring the nearby oceans in search of fertile land to take over.

Outcome

Temporary alliance between Kesic Kingdoms is formed in goodwill to defeat the Zalonian threat.

Aftermath

Esser Orb isolates Kesic from the rest of the world. Kingdom of Thalonan is decimated by Zalonians leading to the rise of the Goblin tribes.

Legacy

Hope for peace on the continent, due to stories of mortal enemies fighting along each other's side. The existence of Zalonian city states along the northern coast of Kesic.
