Amulet of the Stag
A dragonforged metal beetle, which can be worn as a pendant or brooch.
This item carries a boon from the Beetle Spirit, which cloaks one person known to the Beetle in spirit armor. This armor looks like dragonforged metal, is shaped almost like a bug's carapace, and is exceptionally light and flexible. It offers exceptional (if temporary) protection with no dex or speed penalties.
If the bearer impresses the Beetle with their boldness in life and in battle, they may forge a pact with the Stag to call on more of his power.

Mechanics & Inner Workings
Once per long rest, the bearer may take a free action to call upon the boon and summon the Beetle's armor, either for themself or an ally, so long as the recipient of the boon is known to the Beetle.
The armor will immediately form around the recipient, enclosing them, any existing armor, even if their shield if they have one.
The armor grants +3 AC and damage reduction of 5, and lasts until dismissed, until the recipient rests, or until it has absorbed 50 damage.
If the bearer of the amulet or the recipient of the boon has a pact with the Beetle, more of his power may be channeled, improving the armor's properties.
