Valmorus

A grim, dark, Earth-like world full of ruins, rampant natural dangers and overflowing abundances of fae, demons, undead and abominations. Evil magics taint the very soil and extra-planar forces loom at the edge of every shadow. Light itself struggles to keep its foot in the doorway to this hopeless and grueling mortal plane.   Little is known about the world before the events of the Raven Fall. The Raven Fall was the end of an era controlled exclusively by a powerful demi-lich named Dalagom. Dalagom held the material plane in his hands, seizing every inch of life in his grasp before he suddenly and inexplicably disappeared. At the moment of his disappearance, powerful necromantic magics echoed throughout Valmorus and it is strongly rumored this echo weakened the barrier between the planes. It was at this time that demons were said to appear in large numbers throughout Valmorus.   The living populace that ruled before Dalagom's rise was mostly human. More than 85% of this population fell to Dalagom and his legions of undead.
