Valmet is a planet that orbits in a binary system with two moons and 6 continents. The diameter is about 15 thousand miles around with a radius of about 3 thousand miles. Not all physical aspects of the planet have been discovered yet, leaving behind a trail of mysteries.

Currently, in the year 1850, Valmat is currently in the age of peace, innovations, and cooperation. There are currently no major conflicts within Valmat, allowing people to rest easy at night. Nations instead are able to cooperate due to multiple 3rd party organizations one being the Global Adventurers Traffic Authority - G.A.T.A and the Regalia Ships. Since there is a lot of cooperation there is a lot of innovation being done, especially in the magic tech fields of science. Despite of this nations still hoarder a strong rivalry in some cases, such as RGM and Arcadia.

The world is not limited to the dangers of rivalry as it also includes piracy, necromancy, and the unknown. Piracy is rampant in all continents, but is mostly found in Eleris. Not only known for pirates, but can harbors necromancers mine and use Soul Gems to grow their undead army. Juxtaposed to the existence of things like zombies the existence of the paranormal is hotly debated. There are multiple fields of magic that are not supported by current frameworks of knowledge, meaning that there are hundreds if not thousands of ancient artifacts that function for no discernible reasons. These artifacts are therefore the prime targets for aspiring adventurers.

Adventures of Valmat form the backbone of the world's peace by resolving conflicts, exploring, and rescuing. They are often employed as a third-party solution to resolving conflicts so nations can avoid directly fighting each other. For example in a dispute between Sjoland and Kuso, adventures could be employed to scout either nations territory or to conduct espionage. Alternately for adventurers who do not want to be embroiled in international politics, there are thousands of unexplored regions and floating islands that have not been explored. Just as many rescues can be conducted as a result of people becoming lost in these areas. Without adventurers there would be little room for counties to maneuver and many jobs would be left unfulfilled, they are the cushion of the world on which all weight falls.

The world of Valmat is filled with many opportunities to prosper as there is to be destroyed. Any would-be adventurer who is cocky enough to tackle its challenges would be exceedingly wise to read about the world as much as possible whenever possible.
