Rest for Saint Andral Report

General Summary

In the aftermath of the battle at Saint Andral's Church, Father Lucian lays injured near the church alter. The coffin maker, Henrik has escaped the church with the only known whereabouts of Saint Adral's bones. Oscar had been crushed by a large stone pillar in the fight and was knocked unconscious. The party worked together to lift the pillar and saved Oscar's life. He is now being attended to by several of the church healers. The party follows tracks that lead out of the church to a mysterious forest. As they entered the forest, it closed around them and they become lost. They light fires around them to illuminate the area. The forest is silent apart from the occasional clicking nose that appeared to get louder with time. The party approaches a light in the distance and find the coffin maker delivering Saint Andral's bones to Strahd. Strahd kills the coffin maker and beckons the party to reveal themselves. Once the party shows themselves, Strahd offered to give the party the bones, under the assumption the party wouldn't make it out of the forest alive. The clocking nose grew louder and louder until the party discovers the noises are coming from a massive nest of giant spiders. The party is chased out of the forest by th giant spiders, narrowly escaping with their lives. The Party successfully returned the bones to Father Lucian and the town is once again protected from Strahd. The Party leaves the church and hears a commotion in the town square. They approached the town square to discover the townspeople rioting against the Baron. The party thakes advantage of this opportunity to depose the baron, marched on towards the Baron's mansion and confronted his henchmen. The Party made into the house and fought Iznek Strazni who was protecting the Baron in his home. The party killed Iznek and the remaining guards and are about to confront the Baron.
