Saint Yolde Westveer (a.k.a. Saint of Eyes, Unseen)

Yolde was thought for years to simply be Aloria's handmaiden. However, after Yolde's death, it was discovered that the young woman was actually Aloria's Spymaster.

General Physical Condition

Yolde was often seen as unremarkable in appearance. This served her purpose as a gatherer of information.

As a Valleyman, she had fair skin and blonde hair.

Facial Features

Pre-sainthood apocryphal accounts will sometimes mention Aloria's "boyish handmaiden." Her short blonde hair apparently only added to this description.

Personal history

As Yolde was ignored as a historical figure for years, even after her death, there is little information.
She apparently met with Aloria and her companions while they visited the Gean Valley. The official story was that Yolde's parents begged Aloria to take her on as a servant and Aloria made her a personal handmaiden. This story is obviously false. It is likely Yolde already possessed skills in subterfuge before meeting Aloria and that it was these skills that earned her place among the soon-to-be legendary figures.
After the war, Yolde attended Saint Rajke's secondary funeral; as people didn't know of her part in the war, she was thought to be the only non-Saint to attend, thought this obviously changed.
She married a valleyman that apparently knew her in her youth. She settled down and lived in peaceful obscurity until her death. After her death, Saint Horis, the last known surviving Saint, made her influences and true position known to the public. He said he wanted to make sure the world knew of her importance.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Due to the secretive nature of a Spymaster, especially Yolde, it is impossible to know exactly how much she achieved. But Horis, in his address, did list some.

• Stopped many potential assassinations from even being attempted.
• Once misled a large portion of the Sutherland army into fortifying an irrelevant and undesirable position.
• Allowed herself to be captured and taken hostage, just so she could assassinate a skilled Sutherland general by poisoning his food. She escaped after she confirmed his death.
