Rushuya

History

It is not known when or how humans migrated to Rushuya; however, their time on the eastern continent predates the existence of the Scutarii, Ulgmar, and Silfary that now share the land with them. This means they would've settled the lands more than 1,200 years ago.
Warfare was once a constant in Rushuya. The storm-children are a powerful force and the humans of Rushuya would not only fight them, but fight each other for territory; often territory far away from the storm-children's own lands. This hasn't allowed the Rushuyans to make advancements like their Heartland cousins.
However, for reasons unknown, conflict with the storm-children has dropped considerably in recent decades and this has given the many independent leaders of Rushuya to begin experimenting further with magic.

Settlements

Strong fortifications are a common sight in Rushuya. Even without magic, they are skilled architects. This is often a necessity when battling beings such as the Scutarii, who could easily smash through wooden walls.
On the other hand, you will also see many temporary settlements. Humans have proven capable of outpacing the storm-children and many groups use this as their defense as opposed to highly-defensible positions.

Geography

Rushuya is a mountainous continent. Even the flattest regions in Rushuya will still have rolling hills. However, the weather can differ greatly.
Most of the continent is moderate. However, the far east can see heavy snowfall in the winter months and the southernmost point verges on tropical.
