60 years ago a blazing light descended from the sky, a pillar of smoke trailing behind it. Herm Woodward approached the crash site to investigate, he found a large meteor burning in a field.
Dragging it into the small town of Alisar the people marveled over it, they chipped away at it. The tiny chips proved to be useful in aiding health and prolonging life, these tiny fragments were immensely valuable to the people of Alisar.
But as quickly as it had come the rock vanished almost as if it never existed, to begin with.
It's now said to reside under the city of Alisar, silently waiting for someone of great skill and potential to find it.

Themes

As time progresses the party will start to notice evangelist preachers on the streets heralding in the coming age, "The time is nigh, 5 nights till Egog rises!"
Attempts to penetrate The Great Alisar Catacombs will continually be thwarted by other forces.
