History & Usage
History
From the first time it was brought to the prime material plane, infectious ice was feared. Rightfully so. It had the ability to turn anything into ice, and when it wasn't in the plane of elemental ice would spread to encapsulate everything within one hundred miles. Practiced cryomancers and other experts in the field found ways of limiting and controlling the spread. The lamen still saw it as vile. The ice now is used as deterrent for would be robbers to try and steal priceless artifacts from a wizard's tower, or in a recent case an Elder Lich by the name of @placeholder used it to line the entirety of the first three levels of his underground labyrinth.
Discovery
Found by an elven wizard within the plane of Elemental Ice, it took him not long to realize what he had stumbled across. His staff had touched the material and within moments it was turned to ice.
