Scale of Bahamut
The supposed lost scale of Bahamut left behind after the gods left the Plane Prime Material (P.P.M.). Legend says it was striped off during a battle with Tiamat as he withdrew to Mercuria. The platinum scale fell down to the earth somewhere in Brin Balo.
It was eventually found around 3E 2000 and brought to the monastery to Bahamut in the Monasteries region of Brin Balo. The monks reveled greatly and pronounced a new age for Bahamut followers since the lost scale was recovered.
Of course, the Caphitolians took this to mean their deity would prevail against their enemies the Qaath and so they continued with earnest that long-lasting conflict.
The monks who protect the scale use its abilities to secure it. All are welcome to see the relic, but none must take it. it is guarded day and night by monks of the highest level who are immune to enchantments and carry with them anti-magic necklaces that prevent any magic from assailing them. Physical harm is easy to avoid as well for the well-trained zealots.
Many heists have arisen to take it, especially ones driven by Tiamat who believes if she controls the scale she can control Bahamut or at least do something nefarious with it. Of course, these have all failed thanks in part to the scale's ability to repel and deter evil-aligned creatures. Once a heist of neutral-aligned creatures attempted to steal it, and almost succeeded before a general of Bahamut descended and killed them, setting the scale back in its proper place.
