Damned Lands

The Damned Lands are so called because of its extreme hostility. It is home to bloodthirsty orcs and hobgoblins and other miscreants who wish harm upon the living. The land is unfit to grow any crops, being arid and desolate. It cannot support a pastoral lifestyle either, being without ran or any sufficient grasses for grazing. The trees here are dead and the cracked ground often erupts with poisonous gasses.

Inhabitants

Travel through is out of the question. The roaming bands of orcs and hobgoblins who often war with each other, see no issue using travelers as meat shields against each other. A twin pair of fierce black dragons are said to inhabit the acidic swamps in the south. An archdemon is said to rule and inhabit the land, slowly mustering an army of demons.

Residing Mortals

Despite the monsters and bloodthirsty creatures, many mortals live there. Evil Mortals whose minds are twisted by the archdemon that lives there. It twists the minds of the people so their faces have a sinister look to them. Elves, halflings, half-orcs, all Mortals residing there are Evil. It is for a reason. Parents cast detect good and evil on their children from when they are newborn until after adulthood to ensure they remain Evil. They are paranoid of a Good residing within their borders. Those children or adults who are Good are slain, for after all, "There are no Good Damn'ders."

Borders

Despite these dangers, some do live on the extreme outskirts of the land. Some forts are stationed just far enough away from main conflict to not be sacked by the inhabitants.

Caphitol Imperios

The Caphitol Imperios has many along its shared border. They erected signs and steles warning of journeying into the Damned Lands. Unfortunately, many braggadocios teens test each other by venturing into the lands for a mile or so. These never return.

Tallibab

The Tallibabbite Quali has strict rules against entering, even to rescue a lost sheep or the like. They also have forts to protect and protest entry. A century ago the Quali erected a wall all across the length, hundreds and hundreds of miles, in an attempt to keep the Damn'ders at bay.

Daz Bay

The Daz Bay sees a fair share of orc and hobgoblin pirates. These pirates raid the fertile shores of the bay region, even making landfall in Silvercoast. They have even aligned themselves with the kuo toa that inhabit the swamps and coasts of the Damned Lands. These alliances are short-lived, however. The Faithful of Tallifir's Arm rebuff their attacks, and the Silverguard trounced them thoroughly when they made that landfall on the Silvercoast. Now, they stick to the norther shores of the bay and sometimes venture into the open waters in the south.
