Angel Wings Rock

Visible from the road are twin rock formations around 200 feet tall and 150 feet wide. They start about 500 feet in the air and jut from both sides of the wedge-like mountain. The rock has been carved to look like wings laying back against each side of the mountain. The stone has been worked smoothly to allow brighter areas to give a better illusion of detail on the wings. The formation predates any known records. Some masonry groups have tried to maintain the beauty of the work, but the size requires a lot of hands that are comfortable hanging from a mountainside. The dirtier appearance has covered most of the detail and they can be missed. But at sunrise and sunset the wings can light up and the sun exposes the winged statue in all its details.
