Urvattna

Oh, Robin, look! A river! We can fish here. Maybe we'll even be able to spot Näcken!
Isak
  Urvattna is a tiny river that flows from the lake of Urborgasjön into Umeälven, which drains into the Baltic Sea.   It passes through a dense woodland just outside of Urskoga. Residents of the town and the forest utilize it for fishing and recreation.

Geography, Flora & Fauna

Urvattna is a slow-moving river that varies in width but never exceeds 23 meters or falls below 2 meters. It features a tiny rapid segment where young people can practice rapid rafting.   The river is lined with pine, birch, fir, aspers, and alder trees, and no one is allowed to chop or build anything close to it, according to the Urskoga government. It's unclear why, but many say it's because any development would be disrupted by the creatures that live in the river. The majority of boats attempting to cross the river will also capsize. Nobody has so far died because of this but several boats have been destoryed and personal items have been lost.   The river is home to perch, pike, ide, and common whitefish, but there is also plenty of undiscovered flora and fauna.

Landmarks

Even though nobody has been allowed to build in the area for as long as the town has existed there is still a small wooden harbor in one of the wider parts of the river close to the middle of the settlement.   Some believe that the harbor was build before the settlement and some say that it is noted in official documents that the harbor did not exist until after the settlement. Who built it or why is still shrouded in mystery.   On the shore close to where the river joins with Umeälven sits a large wooden cross weathered by many years. Nobody knows why it was raised or who did it. But rumors has it that it was the founder of Urskoga that drowned there.

Okay that's just plain evil, I want to sail down the river and enjoy the sights, but that means I'd likely die? Mean!

Heh XD If you're younger than around 14-16 years you'll be helped to the shore. Though, if you're well over 20 it's every person for themselves. XD;; you should be able to swim and wear a life-jacket if you're on the water anyway. XD;; ...at least that's what the creatures say. XD;
