The Kingdom of Braxia is under great duress, as the King and his royal council lies stagnant as the Kingdom falls into disarray, as internal politics fought between the Duchies threatens to boil over from political disagreements to all out war between them, as the King's attention is focused on preventing a civil war between his Dukes and Duchesses that could rip the Kingdom apart, internal forces have begun to take advantage of the political chaos to gain footholds in the Kingdom, whether they be the now unchecked forces of bandits and pirates wreaking havoc on small villages and pillaging vital trade routes, the savage tribes of Orcs, Goblins and the like once kept on the backfoot by the Braxian army now grow at alarming rates, the power of religion falters leaving the way for insidious cults and heretical forces find more following and racial relations threaten to cause yet more unrest.    A recent Separatist uprising in one of the Southern most Duchies as led to the displacement of thousands of citizens as those still loyal to the crown flee, along with many innocents caught up in the fighting by accident. With the loss of a whole Duchy, others now are beginning to question their onw loyalties, while others frantically fortify their borders and call up what militia they can to try and put and end to their own problems without Royal assistance, a task that for most the Duchies will prove impossible.
