Britannian idioms

Britannian English is very similar to human English; for example, like UK English and American English, Britannian English can be understood by all those who speak English. (Although idioms are always a challenge!). Those that speak Britannian English have a very distinct accent that sounds more southern Welsh than English.   A list of common sayings (and their English equivalents are listed below.  
May your ergot rot!: May everything in your life go wrong
The trees know.: The Old Religion gods are watching you (although those not following the Old Religion utilize this as well).
I'd have to be wind in the trees to....: I'd have to be dead to...
There's more than one way to magick it!: There's more than one way to do something. (Or, there's more than one way to skin a cat)
More nervous/scared than Matthew Hopkins in a group of witches!: Matthew Hopkins was the official Witchfinder General during the English hunt on witches. (Or, more nervous than a whore in church.)
A few Magisters short of a Magisterium: The person is not very intelligent. (Or, a few sandwiches short of a picnic).
They've gone to the gods: A person has died.
Don't count on the Magisterium disbanding: Don't count on something impossible
They'll be wishing for a late morning!: Someone is drunk.

Writing System

The alphabet is identical to the current English alphabet; the W was added in the Middle Ages and the J was added during the Renaissance.

Geographical Distribution

Britannian English is spoken in United Britannia and Hibernia and as a second language in many other countries.
