Ruin
You must have done something wrong, because nothing happens.
The mirror seems pretty normal now, the words are gone and the white shadows look like normal people. Horrified normal people.
You hear a voice asking what's going on. When you turn around by instinct you find out that the reflections belonged to actual people. Not all of those around you are in the right position to be reflected, and that includes the man that's asking who are you, and what happened.
One of the others answers: "Casimiro's guest finally saw us and tried to help us. But it went wrong."
You pronounced the words wrong, and instead of taking the shadows back to town, you brought the town to them. The people, at least. Even the witch that cursed them to a shadow existence is now trapped in the mirror.
There is no second chance, because nobody else enters the house. The town is empty and, with time, forgotten. Nature takes over the ruins and everything is lost.
