The fey courts
Split into four courts, one for each season, and each ruled by its own king or queen.
Spring court
The spring court is ruled by Tatiana, the spring court is a semi-benevolent court to outsiders who seek them. Made up of more light-hearted creatures with strong connections to nature and music. The court acts as a mediator between the others with Tatiana often settling disputes.Summer court
Ruled by King Oberon, the summer court is the main face of the fey courts, A much more serious court, many of its courtiers are welcoming to outsiders and the court as a whole is benevolent, if aloof. Made up of warriors, diplomats, and creatures of the light.Autumn court
Ruled by King Lowan, the autumn court is primarily home to trickster spirits. Though not outright malicious they have little love for the outside and often hide from them, or even doing karmic pranks.Winter court
The most malevolent of the courts, the winter court is home to those fey creatures of shadow. Ruled by the shadow queen, they hold to the dark woods. The horror stories about the fey are often the winter courts doing.History
Appearing from the Fey Mist suddenly at the start of the fey age. The courts took up residence in the western Dread Forest. A relation with the Elves of the forest. The winter court developed an antagonistic relationship with the sifter tribes due to the raids on the edge of the forest. As magic seemed to grow out of control Oberon took control of the situation, even bringing the Elvan cities under the summer courts' influence. Though the courts kept away from Rivell, overtures started in the early 100 fey, led by Iti to see about helping the situation. Through 122 Fey, each court set up various assistants throughout the world, Tatiana attending the 5th Conclave, members of the winter and autumn courts meddling in the Rivell Civil war, and various other groups spreading throughout the world. On 19 Zabar the Fey tear was closed, sending the court back to the Fey Mists. Leaving only a large pink Crystal where the tear once was. The entrance to the Courts was replaced with two giant trees that made a gate into the Fey Mist.
