Thrage

The Thrage are the initial threat which man fled when Pyrideon was created, and then the driving threat that caused man to flee their home universe and move to another, creating the event known as Coalescence.
A heavily advanced race of what was initially human/computer mixes. Now they are vast world intellects, where one Thrage might consist of the collected thoughts of an entire group of galaxies.
With the discovery of instantaneous communication, each Thrage is connected with all its parts despite the distance.
As a whole, the Thrage seek to inhabit the entire visible universe and spread by sending small nano-sized particles of its consciousness in all directions. When those particles find a new piece of rock, comet, planet, it begins to colonize it by making replicas of itself. Once enough are made, the new home now serves as a launching pad for more particles to be sent in all directions. By this means, the spread of the Thrage is geometric.
The Thrage, while keeping separate, do not war with each other. For all intent and purposes, they are of the same mind.
