Halflings

Halflings are an offshoot of humans, genetically modified by the Elders for reasons only they can say. It is quite possible halflings no longer resemble the original forms they had been modified into.
Halflings of Arisilon live primarily around Drynthia and in the lands further north. These halflings conform with the halflings as listed in the player's handbook.
Chrailis Halflings These halflings live north of Chrailis where the lands slope up significantly to higher altitudes more conducive to growing their crops. Because of the continual threat of gnolls attacking from further north, the halflings have militarized to a degree not seen in other halflings. See halflings under Chrailis Culture for more details.
As far as roleplaying goes – Chrailis halflings are primarily Monks. If there is a Ninja class, it is tied to one of the Monasteries and secret at this time. Halflings are basically good aligned. All Harvest Land halflings receive instead of the standard +2 Dex, +2 Cha, -2 Str, receive a +2 Dex, +2 Wis, -1 Str bonus during character creation.
