Hedge Witch of the Quirkwoods

Appearance: Long of limb and well-muscled, Eram has a quiet but reassuring presence. She is rarely seen without a haversack filled with carefully preserved herbs and the long, silver sickle used to harvest them.
Roleplaying: Eram chooses her words carefully which can sometimes make her seem standoffish; this reservation, however, stems from a reluctance to share wisdom with those she is unsure will be receptive. She has never had such reservations with her daughter Aja who has benefited from a surfeit of proverbs all her life.
Personality: Eram enjoys quiet and solitude, which help her think. She believes that always being in a hurry does not prevent death, nor does going slowly prevent living.
Motivation: Like her forebears, Hedge Witch Eram is a skilled herbalist and healer, serving as a wise woman to several of the villages along Dawn Lake. She is devoted to her family and will do almost anything for them, although she does worry that her daughter’s innate whimsicality will lead her into trouble.
Background: Fifth in a line of hedge witches known throughout her homeland, Eram was once searching for heliconia to treat a local village woman when she accidentally strayed into the peculiar stretch of forest known as the Quirkwoods. She wandered for two days, unable to find the way home. Knowing the woods’ reputation for mischief and sometimes malice, she was surprised that no misfortune befell her. It was on the second day that she discovered she was being watched over by the Sylph druid Xevellius, who had been enamored by Eram’s thoughtful demeanor and obvious regard for living things. Although he agreed to help her leave the Quirkwoods, Eram found herself intrigued by Xevellius’ wisdom and strength. It was the third time that she “accidentally” wandered into his domain that the two finally acknowledged their mutual affection. They were married soon after and have one child, a daughter they named Aja.
