Fees and Dues

Libraries aren't cheap. Dame Imokan's research libraries are free to use for now while you are in her employ.
The longer the membership, the more help the Library provides from its functionaries.

Basic/Common/ small selection: (number of such libraries is in the 100's)

• 2 cp to visit/per day.
• 5 SP for a annual pass.
• 2 GP for a lifetime membership.

Expert/A few hard to find resources/small to medium size collection: (Probably 30 to 40 around the city)

• 2 sp to visit/per day.
• 2 gp for a monthly pass
• 20 gp for a annual pass
• 150 gp for a lifetime membership.

Advanced/high end studies/great quality/large selection: (Only 8 of these libraries exist)

• 1 gp per visit/day
• 20 GP for a monthly pass
• 250 gp for an annual pass
• 3000 gp for a lifetime pass

With a monthly pass and above, a personal librarian clerk is at your assistance while you are present. They also hire out at the rate of 1.5 gp a day if you wish to hire one for research while you are away. (this is also a career choice if someone wants to get 10 ranks of knowledge in a field)

Membership into the Arcane Guild

• Ability to cast cantrips or their equivalent required.
• Fees are for an apprentice 5 gp a year at the beginning of the year. (though in the process with hard work one's master usually covers this cost.)
• Once you can advance to journeyman status, the fees are 10 gp a year.
• At master status and above, 200gp a year, but library fees are no longer required for associated libraries.
• After 30 years, membership is permanent and no more fees are required.

Membership into the Alchemical Guild.

• Special - you must be at least 5th level and have a sponsor.
• 1st Year - 2000 gp
• 2nd year - 5th year - 1000 gp
• 6th year to 50th year - 500 gp
• After 50 years, membership is permanent
• At all levels, library access is free in associated libraries.
