Tribe Oasis

Tribe Oasis was the ruling line of the Azharite Empire. Once, Tribe Oasis was one of the many disparate tribes that made up the South Anog Diaspora. In those days, roughly in the 3000s PI, this tribe was known as the Ozomoak. The Ozomoak had long been an ethnic group, nomadic in nature and interacting with the various kingdoms and empires that rose in Northic Anog. This changed, however, in 3211 PI. The Ozomoak found a massive oasis, and began building there. The discovery of what was essentially a great lake, previously undiscovered by the wider world, became a great boon to the Ozomoak people. They built a great city out of this lake, Oasis City, a merchant city-state that quickly became one of the most important cities in Anog.   One generation later, on a date that philosophers and magicians place as 1 EA (Eyza Ada, or “New Imperium”) the son of the chief of the Ozomoak, Azha, set out with a core of his tribesmen, along with a great retinue of mercenaries hired from across Anog. He began a great conquest that soon landed the Azharite Empire, named after its founder. Azha himself would quickly become mythic in nature, and by the end of his life people spoke of him not as a man but as a spirit, unknowable and in the hearts of all in the Empire. Oasis City became the capital of Azhar. Over time, the name “Ozomoak” would be lost to time, as the tribe absorbed other nations and tribes into its royal family - marriage became an important part in ensuring the stability of the Empire. Instead, the burgeoning royal line would become “Tribe Oasis.” Tribe Oasis would find multiple members of various races in its line - Humans, Immerites, and Skesanites being most prominent. A thousand cultures would define them, as they were influenced by the continent around them as they grew and expanded to cover much of Anog. Tribe Oasis broke up into its constituent pieces upon the dissolving of the Empire. Its legacy, however, would be picked up by many of its former provinces - particularly Kanhad and Skesa, who had been two of the major core provinces of the Empire.
