Snowmen of North Anog
The northic parts of Anog were harsh tundras, with nomadic tribes traveling across them. Almost entirely human or Zaranites, they were referred to as “Snowmen” because of their white skin or blue flames. Out there, there was no differentiation between the two - technically different - races in terms of societal status. The Snowmen were known to be very cold to the touch, even in warmer climates. Zaranite Snowmen were not warm - they worshipped no sun, were blue, and cold to the touch, a sort of “cold-fire” that would prove useful as a power source later on, eventually driving the Snowman Zaranites into extinction.
Snowmen, for many years, had no actual relations with the rest of the Westic World. A few tribes would occasionally emigrate south, working as mercenaries for Zara and Azhar, but that was the length of their interactions. This changed, however, with the inception of Lorynn. Many Snowmen were recruited by Geralt Lorynn, himself a Snowman, into building the great cities that would cover the island nation. Many more Snowmen would find themselves in positions of wealth, including the great Wake Tribe, who would have a nepotistic hold over their weapons manufacturing company Wake Industries. Many more Snowmen, however, would find themselves as second-class citizens, their rights forcibly stripped away upon their arrival to Lorynn, forced to be laborers and their cultural identity destroyed by their corporate masters.
The situation would only get worse as Lorynn and Unified Relphica began a daring race into the heart of Northern Anog, annexing large swathes of land into their empires. Conflicts between Tribe and Nation flared up as Snowman tribes were destroyed and culturally absorbed by these two nations. They fared “better” in Lorynn, however they were racially segregated by their Relphic rulers. “Snowfarms” became communities that existed outside of major Relphic cities, home to hundreds of Snowmen.
