Umbrellaverse

Humanity has spread far and wide from an ecologically devastated Earth, our great diaspora leading us to contact a great many strange and alien societies in the vast reaches of space. Some are friendly, others hostile, and still others are so beyond our level of understanding their motivations are opaque.   Technology beyond our imagination proliferates among the stars, giving rise to both wonders and abominations of science; for ever glimmering utopia there is a solar system plunged into darkness by cruel and unusual weapons of war.   The Umbrellaverse is a catch-all amalgamation of countless smaller ideas and concept fragments, developed over the span of more than ten years and collected together to create a greater, more cohesive whole using the Stars Without Number RPG system as an underlying mechanical framework.
