Sol'uomu

After the thirteen gods prohibited the evolutionary prowess that the Creature had, the sun god Solite worked on his castle in the sky to watch over the southern region which he abides in. During this time, some of the radiant magic that he used to construct the castle fell onto Umbra Silvam. This fell in close proximity with the flaming sun that was left over by Solpistellas great purge of rebirth. They reacted together with a shining light, radiating one of the newly gimped Creatures. Time went on as they evolved into the race of Sol'uomu, the people of the sun god Solite.
Once the race naturally evolved into fully sentient humanoids, they began to cultivate the land and utilize it for their needs. They initially built a small settlement around what they call the Radiant Sun, which then expanded into a colony, and then into a city, and finally an entire kingdom. They named the kingdom Pian Calda, and the surrounding land Sud Sole. The city of Pian Calda borders the southern sea known as La Marina, where they cultivated most crops and caught the creatures they eat upon. This constant lifestyle near the ocean and in the sun caused them to tan and become incredibly lean. Once the kingdom of Pian Calda was built, they constructed La Chiesa Del Solite with the Radiant Sun as its base. This is where they worship Solite and began the religion surrounding him.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Sol'uomu tend to be fairly muscular when it comes to men and naturally thin when it comes to women. They have a similar physical structure to other Homo Sapiens. There skin tone is much different when it comes to regular Homo Sapiens however as they range from Olive to any shade of red or yellow depending on how strong the gene of their sun ancestors is. Additionally, some have unnatural features compared to other Homo Sapiens such as golden pupils or an unnatural skin glow.

Genetics and Reproduction

Sol'uomu can breed with any other race within Homo Sapien, but it is not guaranteed that the gene of their sun influenced ancestors will pass over. When two Sol'uomu procreate the gene will always pass over.

Ecology and Habitats

Sol'uomu can live anywhere, however they prefer their home of Pian Calda as it is quite warm and allows them to live comfortably. They're incredibly hardy to extreme heats as well.

Dietary Needs and Habits

The Sol'uomu require the same nutritional requirements as humans. This causes their diet to consist of both flora and fauna. They prefer to eat food that can be found near or off the coast.

Sol'uomu don't have notable facial characteristics as they're families are quite large and intermingled with other Homo Sapiens.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

There are distributed mainly in southern Umbra Silvam in Pian Calda where the sun shines brightly and the weather is warm. However, due to their wanderlust they travel all across Umbra SIlvam and can be found everywhere.

Naming Traditions

Sol'uomu males have names ending in o, i, and a commonly (Giorgio, Mario, Enzo, Achille, Gastone, Scipione, Andrea, Battista, Luca) with foreign names ending in consonants (a, e, i, o, u). Females have names ending in a, e, and i commonly (Adriana, Corinna, Olivia, Agnese, Irene, Venere, Noemi). Surnames are like given names but usually end in i or suffixes similar to -accio, -otti, and -sol. Most surnames are based on location of the kingdom of Pian Calda.

Major Organizations

There are three major forces of Pian Calda. The first being Regno di Giorno. Regno di Giorno is the government force of Pian Calda. It is a monarchy, however the kings power can be veto'd by the people via a popular vote. The second is La Chiesa del Solite. La Chiesa del Solite is the religious organization that follow and believe in Solite for his gift of life to them. Most Sol'uomu follow Solite and religion is incorporated heavily into their lifestyle. Finally, there is the Moon Mafia. There are an organized crime association ran by the mafia boss Luna Caldiono. They are named as such not only for their bosses name, but also that they strictly work during the night, and that night in Sol'uomu culture is considered a time of crime as it is the opposite of day which the church and their god represents, tying their roots to religion even further.

Sol'uomu rarely show disdain to physical characteristics of their own people and other races, however being unhealthy is something that they do not support as a people.

As a community and language based on gender, the gender roles between the two are quite different. For males, childcare and housework are not a priority for them as they focus on goals such as education and a place in the job market. Women, however, do more housework and do more childcare. Women also enter into the job market and achieve a proper education later into their life once their children have finished growing up. This has led to around one or two children per family.

Courship ideals are simple as they are usually mutual and singular love to another person. Marriage is meant to be between two individuals and it is against the church to divorce another person, causing marital partners to be selectively chosen after a long term relationship.

Sol'uomo both speak Common and Fuoca. Fuoca is a dialect of Common only spoken by the people in or near Pian Calda which is a gender based language, meaning that most words have a masculine and feminine form. It is easily noticeable by its frequent use of a, e, i, o, u which are all pronounced sharply in the language unless accented.

Common Etiquette Rules

Sol'uomu are commonly very nice to other people as that is what's taught at a very young age. They are very friendly but sometimes can get a bit snoopy due to their inquisitive nature.

Common Dress Code

Dress codes are very loose in Sol'uomu culture as they wear everything from simple clothing to fine cloths. They prefer brighter colors and darker colors are worn and usually mean sorrow or repentance.

Sol'uomu are very rustic in their architecture and ideologies. Their houses are expansive yet neat and their major architecture and massive and beautiful.

Common Customs, Traditions and Rituals

Customs usually consist of religious practices, which they follow fairly strictly. The first day of the week is known as a day of rest and when the people of Pian Calda go to worship Solite. They also care much for family and whenever a relative is present they take much care to keep them happy and at home. Other traditions include a deep love for food, as people do most common association while eating.

Most Sol'uomu are fairly muscular and have a fast metabolism allowing for a skinny physique. They are quite lean as they don't consume many fats and any fats they do ingest are kept in check by the suns heat.
