The Halo Empire

The Halo Empire was an ancient empire that used to rule the highest portion of Union and controlled currency and trade in many other places. It is believed to be this place that the birth of the fire goddess, Edi, occurred; as the Empire was known for outstanding fire performances and bright warm colors everywhere you'd go. Not much is known about how society actually worked within the Empire walls as many of the records and people who were well-aware of life there perished in a massive fire that swept out the whole place. The only survivors were young children and teens who managed to get through the walls with the aid of elders and parents. These survivors didn't have the tools, health, or wisdom necessary to make the journey to the next settlement so instead, they would make small villages amongst the ruins and outskirts to survive. The villages are merely an echo of the once great Empire, and the members take what little they remembered and learned of the Halo Empire to heart, with many depictions of the downfall and memories in art and stories as a way to preserve their childhoods. Every now and again archaeologists and historians would visit the ruins but the survivors grew tired and irritated from these strangers who would come to visit and not do anything to help their condition, they would merely take what they pleased and leave. So the survivors turned their backs to new faces unless they sought to help with the poor settlements and basic technology; even to this day only a few people are able to travel to the ruins for a substantial amount of time as the journey to the location takes a long time and is labor-intensive, on top of the survivors needs of medication, technology, and other basic supplies.
