Sister of Naledi Meridian. The eldest daughter of Bahadur and Daenera Meridian. 40 summers old. In her youth, she was the apprentice to the Healer of their village (Mooreridden). After their mother left the family for another woman, and their father jumped from Mooreridden Falls in shame, Nareese was left to raise Naledi as best she could. When the Healer died of old age, Nareese became the Healer. She encouraged Naledi to learn as much as she could, and arranged for Naledi to learn how to read & write from the village Scribe. After Naledi grew up and left home, settling in Endhill as an apprentice Blacksmith, Nareese was able to write a book on healing plants.
