The Long Rest
A party is held in December to prepare for the harsh winter months. There will be dancing, playing and singing. You’re not supposed to eat anything on this day. The packs thanks Jakt, the goood off hunt for their luck in hunting the year and prays for yet another good hunting year. The women pray to his wife Selene, the Moon Goddess for fertility and a strong family while also thanking her for watching over them even during the night and lighting their way. Also for a good Pack life.
Components and tools
Bonfire is used for keeping the pack together and as a symbol for the last warmth before the winter cold sweeps in. Also the full moon is important when the Moon Goddess is the most present.
Participants
The alpha pair starts the celebration and then the rest of the pack joins in and participate. The alpha pair starts off the prayers and the songs while also leading the first dance.
Observance
Somewhere in December when it has been cold for two weeks and during he first full moon.
