Crone

The crone is the witch leader of a coven. It can always be only one crone per coven if they are not united and still divided. Her work is to lead the coven of witches and make sure of their continued survival. She is the face to the outside world and can take care off matters more personal among the coven members though her subordinates are more often selected for that matter. To become a crone you must be a witch and very old and experienced, the witches in the coven votes about the crone and she leads until her death or until she is unable and disposed off.

Qualifications

To qualify for a crone a witch must be Old. Experienced in the world and the special magic which is special for the coven. The crone can only be chosen out of a coven member.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

A witch who has gone mad or is unfit to lead by injury or illness is dismissed. If the crone proves to not have the covens best in intersect but is selfish or unreasonable she may be dismissed by the coven.

Cultural Significance

In the land of Berke a crone is respected no matter what coven she is from though one can be more imortant than another. In other lands she might be recognized as leader and respected as that but not in their land.
