The Stantons
A noble family that is in charge of Astea, a small autonomously run island off the coast of the Regency. It has been around for centuries now and due to smart positioning in the society retained their autonomy on Astea to a large extend. The Stantons are a political powerhouse and considered to be the most influential family inside the current leading noble houses of the Regency and thus tries to seize control over the current situation inside of Highspire to avoid further fallout after the current events. The head of the family Victor Elsworth Stanton send for that task his oldest and youngest son to take care of the situation and further strengthen their position inside the Regency as it is today to potentially afterwards become Regent himself.
Due to Ironwood being a main resource in production of airships as well as ships of the Regency the Stantons hold large weight in the trade which helps them tremendously with their position and political power. They operate mostly out of Astea and want to be left alone, though as traditional family and after current events Victor decided it was time to bring the Regency back to its roots. Back to values and tradition instead of bludgeoning their way forward through history and endangering citizen as well as making enemies on the borders.
Structure
Most of the face to face organization is happening only with Victor senior and his wife present though in recent years his eldest son Damian has been taking over some of those tasks. He himself is in charge of the Astea guards and leads and organizes the safety of the Island as well as his family. While the eldest 3 are dealing with the raw organization and day to day business Victor junior works from the background. His contacts to people behind the scenes is unrivaled and gives him a lot of pressure on people that normally would want the Stantons harm.
Magda, the matriarch of the family, gave her responsibilities to her only son many years ago and is to this date still very proud of everything he has accomplished.
Public Agenda
The values the Stantons promise to everyone that wants to hear it are usually based on deep traditional roots that go back for generations. Stability for the land and its citizens are the first goals of every Stanton and they work together as a family to ensure its success. Each end every Stanton would stand strong behind his family even through their differences and works for the collective goal to bring traditional and family values to stable secured households all over the Regency.
History
Back in the early days of the Stantons one of their ancestors managed to not only take a hold of Astea he also found a way to plant the very first ironwood seeds. Dal Zarma, the demon empress, considers it her property and is greatly offended by this still to this day which was seen recently at her attempt not only to corrupt and dominate Vincent into a pact but also her attack through her minion on the island with a corrupting seed that is now held in the family vault securely tucked away.
Any further history is currently being investigated by Vincent, youngest son of the family.
