Twyndyllyng's London

An alternate Victorian London where magical Sylphs live among us, disguised as birds.   Several hundred years ago, the sylphs and humans lived in a symbiotic relationship: the sylphs provided the magical power of the wynds, and humans used it to create marvelous works of advanced technology. The Twyndyllyng, born of both races, was the mediator between the two cultures.   But then the Twyndyllyng was murdered, and the sylphs fell into civil war. A deadly plague was released among the humans, wiping out much of the knowledge of the Age of Invention. Technology stagnated and even regressed.   Now, there are rumblings of a new Twyndyllyng, and London is at the heart of the battle of the skies as sylphs and humans alike struggle to rebalance themselves in a way that will bring the world hope again - but will it be with magic or invention?
